Philip, Jen and Peyton’s Pages

Can’t believe it, but Peyton turns one on Tuesday! Its been a year already. Jen and I are both amazed at how much she’s grown and how much she’s doing. We’ve had a birthday party both weekends for the past two. We had a party in Cheraw last Sunday with family back home and another party yesterday at Tammy’s farm for our family and friends down our way. The party at the farm was also a costume party since Peyton was born the day before Halloween. There were more than a few costume surprises - including a pair of jailbirds, a couple iPods, and a purple pimp. We had a blast with all our family and friends that were able to make it. Lots of things to report lately. Seems like so much is happening so quickly. Peyton is getting more and more confident every day and taking more and more steps on her own. She still needs something to hold on to to start off, but she can take 4 or so (rather wobbly looking) steps now on her own.

She’s also discovered all sorts of new things. She can flush the toilet in our bathroom on her own. She did it 3 times on Jen while she was in the shower today… She’s also seems very attracted to every computer, phone or remote we have in the house… Looks like she’s gonna be a techie like her daddy! She’s also making all sorts of funny faces and noises. Her personality is definitely coming out, big time.

Some of you may know, some may not… We’ve had our house up for sale.  We have been searching for where we want to go and have found the perfect place.  We knew we wanted a fourth bedroom (no baby on the way yet - just planning ahead) and we knew we didn’t want a pool.  Well, we’ve deciced to build.  We met with the builder for a second time yesterday and have most of our details worked out…  And we’re excited.

Well, it was bound to happen!  Peyton is getting more teeth.  She’s not real happy about it, but she’s not letting it slow her down either.  We can see her two, top, front teeth coming in.  We don’t think its broken the skin yet, so we got a little ways to go, but we can already see the outline…  Any day now.
