We had a good time on Saturday with everyone for our little SummerFest at the Sellers…  It was a lot smaller than years past and the rain held out long enough for us to have some fun… even during some of the rain for some…  We’ve added some photos the gallery…  See you all soon…

Her teeth have finally peeked through!

July 13th, 2007 No Comments »

Peyton has not been herself this week, she was sort of whiney and gnawing on her hands more often.  Then last night, I noticed two small pearlie whites peeking through on her bottom jaw.  Running my finger across, it was sharp! Teeth, she has teeth, I exclaimed to Philip as we were driving to Sam’s Club. He was ecstatic and was ready to see for himself.  Her teeth have finally arrived and it just proves that babies grow up so fast!  Peyton is 8 1/2 months old and now has her first two teeth!!!!!  Yippee!!!!

Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July!  The family landed at our friend, Hope’s house for a cookout.  They had already cooked all the food by the time we arrived.  But we enjoyed good yummy food and chilled out.  For fireworks time, we sat on the back porch and watched all that was going on in the neighborhoods.  In addition to some interesting neighbor entertainment, we watched amateur fireworks.  Peyton was awed by the sounds and the colors, but by 9:30 pm she fell asleep.  Even with the fireworks noises, she slept!  We’re glad she wasn’t afraid of the noise.  It was nice fourth of july.  Check out the photos in the Photo Gallery!

Welcome July and Goodbye June!

July 1st, 2007 No Comments »

The month of June was probably the sickest month in our lives. It all started with Peyton’s ear infection at the beginning of the month. Then it transcended to a sore throat and a cough. Finally, a stomach bug brought all three of us down to the floor for several days. It was horrible. Somewhere in the middle, we managed to celebrate our 5-year anniversary and Father’s Day.

We are happy to be past this. Peyton and the rest of us are feeling 10 times better. We celebrated Jen’s 29th birthday tonight with a close group of 20 friends at Olive Garden - somehow they managed to fit us together somewhat. It was the best day we have had in a long time and made up for much of the sick month of June. A good way to kick off July! Thank you everyone who came out for some pasta and wine!

Below is a short video of Peyton laughing. It was captured on my cell phone, so the quality isn’t top-notch. Enjoy!
